I love a deal (just like the rest of you!) so when I saw the Instant Pot on sale for Amazon Prime Day I finally pulled the trigger and bought myself the larger 8-quart size multi-use pressure cooker. If you haven't heard of the Instant Pot be prepared to be instantly amazed. I was completely sold after my friend told me she was able to cook full meals in minutes. If something can save me time and energy in the kitchen, I'm all over it!
Today was the day my brand spanking new kitchen gadget arrived and I couldn't wait to get home to try it out.
Up until now, my most used kitchen gadget was my crockpot but now that I have this nifty tool that can be used in 7 different ways, including a slow cooker, I'm ready to retire my faithful crockpot! If any of my friends in Houston would like a crockpot, let me know! I'll be happy to pass it on to its new home.
So let's get back to the Instant Pot. What is it exactly and what can it do for me?
The Instant Pot is a 7-in-1 multi-use programmable pressure cooker that makes preparing your meals a breeze! You can use it as a slow cooker, steamer, pressure cooker, and a bunch of different cooking methods I still need to try out! The main reason I purchased this new kitchen gadget is to save me time while cooking. The Instant Pot cooks your food 70% faster which is a huge plus! Instead of waiting for water to boil to make rice I can cook brown rice in under 25 minutes and save money on my gas bill! Now that I have the Instant Pot I can spend less time in the kitchen and more time with family and friends.
Eating a well-balanced diet filled with a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, dairy, protein, healthy fats, legumes, nuts, and seeds can be overwhelming but a little planning goes a long way! Preparing your meals in advance is easier than ever with this new kitchen gadget. I'm excited to share my Instant Pot recipes with you all to help you make delicious wholesome meals for you and your family.
